Claudiosaurus Fossil – Positive & Negative Slab with Visible Limb and Vertebral Column – Permian – Madagascar Beautiful fossil specimen of Claudiosaurus, an early diapsid reptile from the Permian of Madagascar, preserved on a natural positive and negative split slab. The fossil displays a well-defined section of the vertebral column with numerous articulated vertebrae clearly visible along the matrix. Several limb elements are preserved, including a particularly well-exposed hind limb with distinct bones and joints, adding strong anatomical detail to the specimen. The bones appear in dark natural contrast against the light sedimentary matrix, making the anatomical structures easy to observe. The preservation allows clear appreciation of the skeletal arrangement typical of early reptiles from the Permian ecosystems of Madagascar.
