賣家描述
Description
A charming set of 7 authentic Japanese hand-blown glass fishing floats, each preserved with its original vintage netting and hanging cords.
These floats were traditionally used by fishermen in northern Japan (Hokkaido and Tohoku) during the mid-20th century and were essential for supporting longline and gill nets at sea.
This lot features beautiful aqua to blue-green tones, natural bubbles, swirl lines, and the slight asymmetry typical of true working floats.
Each piece was individually mouth-blown, giving every float its own character and texture.
The nets show attractive ageing in various shades—brown, red, and beige—creating a warm and authentic coastal appearance.
These smaller floats (approx. 6.4 cm in diameter) are increasingly difficult to find in matching, decorative multi-piece sets, making this a wonderful opportunity for collectors and interior decorators.
