Original fossil rostral spine (denticle) belonging to Onchosaurus numidus, an extinct ray-like sawfish (family Sclerorhynchidae) from the Early Cretaceous. Onchosaurus possessed a long cartilaginous rostrum armed with robust, bony barbed spines, used for hunting and defense. The specimen shows the typical elongated, curved shape and surface striations characteristic of this genus.
