Art Deco Double Inkwell Set – Netherlands, c. 1930–1940 Elegant double inkwell set from the Dutch interwar period, originating from Limburg. The set features two square glass inkwells with matching heavy glass lids, mounted in a metal holder on a black base. The clean geometric lines and combination of glass and metal are characteristic of late Art Deco / early Modernist design from the 1930s. This functional desk accessory would originally have been used by a professional office or study and reflects the sober and practical design tradition of Northern Europe during the interbellum period. The inkwells and metal parts are original and complete. There is some damage on the glass base and cover. The components are intentionally removable, as designed, allowing for cleaning and maintenance.
