Antique Italian secrétaire in solid walnut, 1920s/1930s. An elegant antique slant-front secretary desk, crafted in solid walnut wood with a warm, rich patina and attractive grain throughout. The fall-front opens to reveal a fitted interior featuring a central bank of small drawers flanked by open compartments, providing practical storage for correspondence and writing essentials. The writing surface is supported by the hinged fall panel. The exterior is fitted with three graduated lower drawers, each adorned with decorative brass bail pulls and escutcheons. The case stands gracefully on shaped bracket feet, adding to its refined silhouette. The slant lid retains its original brass escutcheon. In a very great size. In a good original antique condition, consistent to age and use. The writing desk while opened is a slightly down due to ages of use. The patina is super beautiful. The furniture is only applied with wood wax. Presented of moth holes, preferred to be treated for better use. There is only one key for the writing desk, not the drawers. The furniture is very heavy due to its total solid walnut, therefore the underneath of the back feet is reinforced with metal frames (but you hardly can see them).
