The three-sided plexiglass shade is attached via a pivot screw, allowing it to be tilted upwards to access the lightbulb. A standout "space-age" feature for its time is the integrated power outlet on the front of the rosewood base. Originally intended for electric shavers or clocks, it serves today as a perfectly placed vintage "charging station" for modern devices.
