Two well-used wooden doorlocks from two different peoples. Both are well-decorated. These locks were used to lock granary sheds, where grain and other foodstuffs were stored.
The small blackend one is of Dogon origin and represents a stylised hare. Diagonal lines as decorations on the front.
Height.; 27 cm.
The very large lock is of Bambara origin and has a well-designed face on top.Nice dark patina. Height 43 cm.
Both items were collected in Mali in the late 1990`s.
