Mithridate II (ou Mithradates II), roi des Parthes de 124 à 88 av. J.-C., est considéré comme l’un des plus grands souverains de l’empire arsacide. Il consolide le royaume après une période de troubles, repousse les Scythes et étend son autorité de la Mésopotamie à l’Iran oriental. Sous son règne, les Parthes s’affirment comme puissance majeure et établissent les premiers contacts diplomatiques avec Rome et la Chine.

Mithridates II (or Mithradates II), king of Parthia from 124 to 88 BC, is considered one of the greatest rulers of the Arsacid Empire. He consolidated the kingdom after a period of turmoil, repelled the Scythians, and extended his authority from Mesopotamia to eastern Iran. Under his reign, the Parthians established themselves as a major power and forged the first diplomatic contacts with Rome and China.
