This Mughal-era box, crafted using the koftagoori technique with gold embroidery and Islamic inscriptions on iron, was originally used as a pen holder but resembles a rectangular box. It's made in layers and shows signs of wear from its time, but the gold embroidery is flawless. It features gold-embroidered floral and vine motifs, and the lid has Islamic inscriptions. The craftsmanship of engraving on iron was very popular during the Mughal period.
