JBS - Luigi Colani - 床頭檯燈 - 烟熏玻璃
Dear Bidders,
Thank you for your interest in my offer.
You are bidding here on a vintage table lamp designed by Luigi Colani for JBS, created in the spirit of Colani’s iconic organic and futuristic design language.
The lamp features a striking sculptural form with a large smoked glass dome shade resting on a ribbed clear glass column and a chrome-plated metal base.
The soft, rounded silhouette and aerodynamic lines reflect the visionary approach of Colani, one of the most influential designers of the Space Age and futuristic design movement.
The combination of glass and polished chrome gives the lamp an elegant yet futuristic presence, making it a distinctive decorative piece as well as functional lighting.
Produced in the late 20th century, it perfectly embodies the Space Age / futuristic aesthetic associated with Colani’s work.
A highly decorative statement piece, ideal for collectors of vintage design lighting.
SOME GENERAL INFORMATIONS:
JBS Lampen refers to lighting products made by Josef Brumberg Sundern, a historic German lamp maker based in Sundern, in the Sauerland region of Germany. Pieces marked “JBS” or “Josef Brumberg Sundern” are typically vintage lighting fixtures from the mid‑20th century (often 1950s‑1970s), including table lamps, pendant lights and other decorative lamps. These lights are known for their quality materials (such as brass, glass and metal) and classic design details that reflect vintage German craftsmanship.
Luigi Colani ( 1928-2019 ) was a German industrial designer and one of the most influential figures of organic and biomorphic design in the 20th century. He became famous for his futuristic, aerodynamic forms inspired by nature and biology.
Colani worked across many fields, including automotive design, aviation, furniture, household appliances and decorative arts. His designs are characterised by flowing lines, sculptural shapes and a strong sense of movement.
