Taguemout - Berbère - 摩洛哥 (沒有保留價)
A traditional Berber Amazigh necklace with Taguemout, made of low-grade silver or a silver alloy, enamel, amber, coral, glass beads, and semi-precious stones
Morocco - 20th century
A traditional piece of jewelry from the Anti-Atlas region of Morocco. These necklaces are often unique family heirlooms that have been expanded over the years as the owner's wealth increased.
The large, central egg-shaped bead is decorated with colored enamel in green, yellow, and blue.
The necklace features large beads of amber (often called luban, made from acacia resin) or copal, interspersed with multiple strands of small and larger coral and glass beads, and a few semi-precious stones.
The three conical pendants hanging below the central bead are typical of Berber silverwork from cities like Tiznit. Old glass beads (such as Murano trade beads) are also incorporated.
These jewelry not only serve as decoration but also have a talismanic function, protecting the wearer from evil and transforming negative energy into positive power.
