Turkish Mut Cicim rug from the Mersin region. Zili embroidery, wool on goat hair.
Rare item from the mid 20th century. The colors still bright and intact because this carpet was used as a wall decoration since the 1970’s.
Dimensions: 133x100 cm.
Condition: a few very minor holes, otherwise in good condition.
Provenance: collected in Istanbul in 1971 by a Dutch expat family.
