A Japanese fuchi-kashira set in shakudo, decorated with a figure motif that possibly depicts Shoki, together with bamboo and sasa elements. The surface appears to have a polished dark shakudo ground with engraved decoration. Fuchi: approx. 3.76 × 2.18 cm, thickness approx. 0.92 cm, weight approx. 18.27 g. Kashira: approx. 3.42 × 1.68 cm, thickness approx. 0.70 cm, weight approx. 10.62 g. Condition is generally good for age, with visible age-related wear, rubbing, dirt, and minor surface marks. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description. A modern-made paulownia wood storage box is included. The box is not original to the fittings. The exact dating and the exact identification of the motif have not been independently confirmed by me, so the piece is described conservatively.
