English
Pair of Blue and White Porcelain Covered Vases
This significant pair of baluster-shaped covered vases is a superb example of late Qing Dynasty production. They feature a dynamic decoration of Foo Dogs (Imperial Guardian Lions) moving through fiery clouds and stylized flames, chasing the sacred pearl. The decoration is hand-painted in underglaze blue with a beautiful depth of tones.
Both vases retain their original lids topped with a button finial. The underside of the bases reveals a dense porcelain body with firing marks consistent with 19th-century artisanal craftsmanship.
Origin: China, Qing Dynasty, 19th Century.
Dimensions: Height 35 cm.
Weight: Approximately 4,800 grams (for the pair).
Condition: Good condition
Shipping: Ultra-secure shipping with double protective packaging, insurance, and tracking number.
