30. NG C AU-53, 1780 France ECU Silver Coin, Very Rare 9500
法國國王路易十六，最後上了斷頭台的君主。1989年7月14日，法國慶祝革命200週年的慶典上，法國總統密特朗表示，「路易十六是個好人，把他處死是件悲劇，但也是不可避免的。」路易十六被處死時，他在外省仍有頗高的支持度，大多數的法國農民仍然敬愛並遵奉他（法國農民占人口的八成以上），但是以巴黎為首的市民卻嚴重敵視並仇恨他，在觀賞處決時報以歡聲雷動，慶祝共和國的確立。如同馬克西米連·羅伯斯比所說的：「路易必須死，因為共和必須生」（Louis doit mourir, parce qu'il faut que la patrie vive）。這枚是罕見的漂亮銀幣，正面是面左的國王半身胸像，穿著繡花外套，佩戴聖靈勳章，頭髮用絲帶綁在後頸。，請藏家不要錯過。
路易十六（1754~1793）1774年即位、1792年被廢黜、1793年被送上斷頭台。路易十六統治前期試圖對法國進行改革，包括試圖廢除農奴制和泰爾稅，並對非天主教徒實行宗教寬容政策。但法國貴族反對改革，路易十六放鬆對糧食市場的管制，卻導致麵包價格上升，且糧食歉收，食物短缺最終引發民眾暴動。而債務和財政危機導致舊制度愈發不得人心，法國中層階級和下層階級對法國貴族及法國君主專制愈發不滿，路易十六及其王后瑪麗·安東妮則成為了這一制度的代表人物。1789年，巴黎發生動亂，巴士底獄被攻佔，法國大革命就此開始。
路易十六為法國歷史上唯一被處決的君主，其死亡宣告了延續近千年法國君主制的終結。
這枚銀幣是少見的大型銀幣，品相高分，國王肖像、髮絲及髮帶很清楚，文字也算清晰，背面的冠冕也漂亮，請藏家切勿錯過。
30. NGC AU-53, 1780 France ECU Silver Coin, Very Rare
King Louis XVI of France, the monarch who ultimately went to the guillotine. On July 14, 1989, during the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution, French President Mitterrand stated, 'Louis XVI was a good man; executing him was a tragedy, but it was also inevitable.' When Louis XVI was executed, he still had considerable support in the provinces, as the majority of French peasants (over 80% of the population) still respected and obeyed him. However, the citizens, led by those in Paris, were intensely hostile and hateful toward him, cheering loudly when witnessing his execution, celebrating the establishment of the Republic. As Maximilien Robespierre said: 'Louis must die, because the Republic must live' (Louis doit mourir, parce qu'il faut que la patrie vive). This is a rare and beautiful silver coin, featuring a left-facing half-length bust of the king on the obverse, wearing an embroidered coat and the Order of the Holy Spirit, with hair tied at the back of the neck with a ribbon. Collectors should not miss it.
