A stunning and highly detailed antique silver cuff bracelet (bangle), originating from Indonesia (Java, Yogyakarta/Kotagede region). This piece is a prime example of the superior craftsmanship in filigree and granulation for which Javanese silversmiths are world-renowned.
The bracelet features two opposing heads of the Naga, the mythological serpent-dragon that symbolizes protection and prosperity in Indonesian culture. The heads are intricately handcrafted with characteristic silver cones (granulation) and twisted silver wire (filigree).
