This particular piece was produced under the direct supervision (Kan-shū) of the celebrated 7th generation head, Kato Kobei (VII). It features an elegant gold and silver enamel (Kin-gin-sai) decoration of Kudzu vines, a traditional autumn motif in Japan. The flat, slender form (Hentsubo) gives it a modern and stylish presence, making it a perfect decorative piece for both traditional and contemporary interiors. Kobei-gama, founded in 1804 (late Edo period), is one of the most prestigious and influential kilns in the Mino region. The 7th generation head is highly respected for his contribution to replicating ancient Persian ceramic techniques (lustreware) alongside his father (the 6th head and Living National Treasure, Kato Takuo). This vase exemplifies the kiln's mastery of refined glazing and delicate metallic hand-painting, all validated by the expertise of the 7th generation master. The item comes with its original wooden box (Tomobako), signed and sealed by the artist, ensuring its authenticity. Condition In excellent condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs.
