Every inch of the legs, topknot, muzzle, and chest has been painstakingly built up using the laborious hand-extruded "vermicelli" technique — tiny strands of clay applied one by one and fired under that iconic thick green glaze. On a piece this size, the density and intricacy of the texture is remarkable. The body itself features elegant ribbed detailing, and the face is hand-painted with soulful dark eyes, a glossy black nose, and that unmistakable aristocratic poodle expression.
