This is a vintage Japanese enamel sign featuring the text 「無断入場御断り」 (Mudanjōjō Okotowari), which translates to “No Unauthorized Entry.” Such signs were commonly used in industrial facilities, warehouses, and restricted areas in Japan during the mid to late 20th century. The sign is made of durable metal with a glossy enamel coating, featuring a deep blue background and bold white kanji characters. It has mounting holes at both ends for easy installation. This piece was part of unused stock left in a warehouse of a wholesale kitchen equipment supplier. Although it is unused, it shows minor signs of age such as small chips, scratches, and wear consistent with long-term storage.
