賣家描述
Inashihagi no Mikoto 稲背脛命
He was the envoy who, acting on the orders of Okuninushi no Mikoto, summoned back Kotoshironushi no Mikoto and brought about the peaceful transfer of the country.
Artist: 藤井義郎 Fujii Yoshiro
Carved by Fujii Yoshiro, this Bicchu Kagura wooden mask represents Inashihagi no Mikoto, the envoy who, under the command of Ōkuninushi, located Kotoshironushi and secured the peaceful transfer of the land in the Izumo myth cycle. The sharply drawn brows, focused gaze, and firm mouth convey the tension and resolve of a divine messenger whose role hinges not on force but on duty, clarity, and decisive action. Fujii’s carving style—marked by deep cuts, taut facial planes, and a sense of contained urgency—emphasizes the seriousness of the moment in which Inashihagi acts. The textured hair elements and bold coloration enhance the mask’s ritual presence, grounding it in the dramatic vocabulary of Bicchu Kagura. Within a collection or interior, the mask introduces a disciplined, purposeful energy, its expression evoking responsibility, loyalty, and the quiet strength of a god who shapes the course of myth through resolve rather than violence.
