Opis (Professional Description):
A fine and authentic antique Chinese cloisonné enamel plate, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century (Late Qing Dynasty, Guangxu period). The central medallion depicts a powerful five-clawed Imperial Dragon in pursuit of the flaming pearl, rendered in vivid enamels against a traditional imperial yellow ground.
Technique: High-quality hand-crafted cloisonné enamel with intricate brass wirework (cloisons).
Design: The dragon is surrounded by stylized ruyi clouds and a traditional geometric key-fret border on the rim.
Patina: The exposed brass rims exhibit a heavy, natural dark-brown to grey patina, confirming its authenticity and age. The piece has not been polished to preserve its historical character.
Condition Report: The plate is in good antique condition. Please note: there are two small, minor enamel chips on the turquoise-blue reverse, as documented in the photographs. These are consistent with its age and do not affect the front display.
