1. White Vase
Glazed Vase with Striped Patterns, signed by Suzuki Kenji 鈴木健司(b1935)

Artist: Suzuki Kenji 鈴木健司
Born in 1935 in Kyoto, Kenji Suzuki graduated from the Ceramic Arts Department of Kyoto City University of Arts and completed his postgraduate studies there. In 1959, after graduating from graduate school, he trained under the 6th generation Shimizu Rokubei, establishing a kiln at Sengenji Temple the same year. From 1977, he relocated his kiln to Yamashina in Kyoto for production.
He is a member of the Nitten Exhibition, the Nihon Kogeikai (Japan Crafts Association) as a member and director, and the Sogokai (Association of Kyoto Craftsmen).
His notable awards include the Prime Minister's Award at the Nihon Kogeikai Exhibition, Special Selection at the Nitten Exhibition, the Kyoto City Mayor's Award, and the Order of the Rising Sun, Blue Ribbon.
