Copper Statue of Mayadevi, which is also known as Mahamaya, which was the birth mother of Shakyamuni Buddha. She was the wife of king Suddhodana, the king of the Shakya kingdom. She was sister of Mahaprajapati Gautami, the first Buddhist nun ordained by the Buddha. Maya means “skillful creator” in Sanskrit, Maya is also called Mahamaya (“Great Maya”) and Mayadevi (“Queen Maya”). This beautiful solid copper statue is 21 cm high and weighs 770 grams.
