Carved and gilt wooden wall mirror – Baroque/Rococo style with shell motif

Elegant wall mirror crafted in carved and gilded wood, featuring rich ornamental details such as scrolls, acanthus leaves, and vegetal motifs, typical of Baroque and Rococo aesthetics. The top crest is adorned with a sculpted shell highlighted in blue, a decorative element commonly associated with 18th-century design.

The shaped mirror plate follows the flowing lines of the frame, creating a harmonious and refined composition. The mirror surface shows oxidation and aging marks, adding to its authentic antique charm.

The gilding, likely applied using traditional techniques, displays a natural patina with signs of wear consistent with age, enhancing the character of the piece. The back retains its original wooden structure with hanging system.
