江户时代五层印籠,螺钿镶嵌——渔船与晒网纹样,大黒天鹿角 - 木, 乌鲁希漆、蒔絵、梨子地蒔絵、鹿角 - japanese - 日本 - 江戶時代(1600-1868)

This fine five-tier inrō is an authentic example of Edo-period Japanese craftsmanship, reflecting the refined skills and aesthetic values of traditional artisans. Made of wood and lacquer, and finished with maki-e, gold nashiji, and raden (mother-of-pearl inlay), this inrō is decorated with a fishing boat on one side and drying nets on the reverse. Both scenes are enhanced with shimmering raden, creating a striking contrast against the rich gold-sprinkled ground. The interior is fully finished in gold nashiji, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and traditional lacquer techniques. Originally both practical and artistic, inrō served as wearable containers while also functioning as miniature works of art. This complete set, accompanied by an ojime bead and netsuke, embodies that dual role, combining function, artistry, and historical presence.
