Vintage Wooden Valet Stand / Trouser Press – 20th Century

Elegant vintage wooden valet stand, a typical furnishing accessory widely used during the 20th century in refined bedrooms and interiors. This object, commonly known as a “valet stand,” was designed to keep garments neatly arranged, and especially to preserve trousers in a pressed condition thanks to its built-in pressing system.

The structure is made of solid wood with a warm finish and visible grain. The upper section is shaped as a hanger to support a jacket or coat, while the central section features a practical trouser press with adjustable mechanism and metal fittings. The base is stable and fitted with small caster feet for easy movement.

Both functional and decorative, this piece represents an interesting example of mid-century domestic design, appreciated today for its practical use as well as for its vintage aesthetic.
