The sponge itself measures 8 × 2.5 cm and is clearly visible across both halves of the nodule, showing its elongated form and internal structure. The preservation is subtle but well-defined, offering an authentic glimpse into ancient marine life. One half of the nodule has been consolidated with adhesive, as visible in the photos. This intervention was carried out to stabilize the specimen and preserve its integrity over time, a common practice for fragile fossils.
