A beautiful silver-plated lidded bowl made by E.M.T.I. (Eskilstuna Matsilver AB), Sweden, dating to the 1930s and made in a Swedish Grace design, Sweden's equivalent to the Art Deco era, characterized by clean, restrained forms and ornamental Scandinavian shapes. The dish has a smooth, round body sitting on a flat base, with two Art Deco handles on either side, each decorated with a stepped ribbed detail. The lid is domed and wide, sitting neatly on the bowl, and is topped with a tiered architectural finial. The bowl shows some surface wear, with a few age spots and some wear to the silverplating, but the overall look is beautiful. No dents and no repairs. Marked on the underside with E.M.T.I. (Eskilstuna Matsilver AB, maker), 1:ma (Prima, the highest quality grade of silver plating), and NS for Nysilver.
