日莲大圣人坐像,日莲宗创始人 - 木, 陶艺 - 日本 - 明治時期(1868-1912)

This is a seated statue of Nichiren Daishonin, the founder of the Nichiren sect. It is enshrined in a small shrine. The statue of Saint Nichiren is thought to date back to the late Edo period to the Meiji period, approximately 150-200 years ago. The statue of Nichiren Shonin is made of pottery. The doors of the shrine are adorned with depictions of Daikokuten and Bishamonten, two of the Seven Lucky Gods. Although the shrine doors are detached, they feature a very unusual design. Furthermore, the quality of the depictions of Daikokuten and Bishamonten is exceptionally high, demonstrating the high level of skill of the craftsmen of that time. Nichiren Shonin (1222-1282) is the founder of the Nichiren sect. He began training at Seichoji Temple in Chiba Prefecture at the age of 12, and became a monk at the age of 16. At the age of 16, Nichiren developed new teachings that overturned the preconceived ideas of the Buddhist world. Although initially rejected, his teachings form one of the dominant traditions of Japanese Buddhism today. Namu Myoho Renge Kyo (Namu Myoho Renge Kyo) is a mantra used in Lotus Sutra Buddhism. This is the fundamental law that permeates the universe and all life, which Nichiren Daishonin realized, and is recited in sects such as the Hokke and Nichiren sects. A "kantokushu" refers to someone who has obtained what they wished for through faith in gods and Buddhas, or someone who has obtained something unexpectedly.
