Porcelain shoulder head with plump facial shape and pink tinted complexion, thick dark eyeliner, lightly painted lashes and brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, brown human hair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset jointing at hips, porcelain arms to above the elbows, antique original white cotton gown with white embroidery, lace bonnet, undergarments, pink vintage shoes.
Good condition to age. Her bisque free of hairlines, any damages. Two fingers on the left hand have been professionally restored.
Marks: Brevete D.D. SGDG (body).
Frenchm Duval-Denis, circa 1861, which succeeded the Blampoix firm for only two years, 1861-1862; in 1863 the firm was curiously re-sold to Blampoix.
Rare signed poupee with beautiful clarity of porcelain enhanced by delicate blush, richly outlined cobalt eyes, porcelain arms, signed body.
