Seller: The signature "Tamisier" confirms the provenance from one of the most exclusive shops that served the French aristocracy in the luxury resort of Vichy and in Paris. The importance of Tamisier - Seller:
During the interwar period, the House of Tamisier (with prestigious locations in Paris and Vichy) was a direct competitor to the great houses such as Cartier or Van Cleef & Arpels. Tamisier served exclusively the aristocracy and upper middle class that frequented the casinos and luxury resorts of France. The fact that this Jaeger was commissioned and signed by Tamisier attests to its status as an absolute luxury piece in the Art Deco era. Please view the images carefully before bidding. Good luck with your auction. Thank you!
