On the hillside of San Germano, vines were already being cultivated 3,000 years ago by the Etruscans. This millennia-old history has allowed the vines to self-select, naturally developing defenses against climatic and biological adversities, and thus producing healthier grapes of excellent quality. It is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and a small percentage of Sangiovese. The color is an impenetrable ruby red, indicative of great complexity. A seductive wine from the very first whiff, with distinct notes of blackberry, currant, coffee, and vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet harmonious and elegant, thanks to the freshness imparted by the Sangiovese. A wine of extraordinary length.
