A striking pair of Dutch Art Deco brass vases from the Amsterdam School period, made by Daalderop and marked underneath. Their shape is strong and sculptural, with a warm dark brass tone enriched by geometric relief decoration in a lighter brass, very much in keeping with the bold decorative language of the period. These are documented pieces and make an excellent addition to both a classic and a more eclectic interior. Beautiful on their own, but especially effective as a pair. One of the set is in good vintage condition with only small signs of age and use. The other has two visible dents, though these can be turned away and are not visible from the front in display (as in the first picture). It is possible to have a specialist take the dents out.
