This piece exemplifies the Eastern Mediterranean/Ionian stylistic influence with its columnar (truncated cone) lower body serving as its original self-supporting base. Manufacturing Technique: Produced using a bivalve mold (two-part mold). The figure is hollow, featuring its original ventilation hole on the reverse—a critical technical detail used to prevent the clay from exploding during the firing process in antiquity. Surface & Detail: The surface retains significant traces of the original white engobe (slip), which originally served as a base for polychrome pigments.
