A charming Yoshidaya Ko-Kutani porcelain dish, decorated in rich aubergine, green, yellow, blue, and black enamels. The design features lush peonies accompanied by a spray with a perched bird on an arching twig, all set against a speckled mustard-yellow ground with translucent reserves revealing a meander pattern beneath. The dish is finished with a slightly upstanding, ribbed and lobed rim. The reverse is decorated on a green ground with black scrolling foliage and bears a fuku 福 mark at the centre.
