Antique Bronze "Hand of Fatima" Door Knocker – France/Spain – Circa 1880-1900

A rare and complete antique door knocker shaped like a lady's hand, famously known as the "Hand of Fatima" or "Hamsa". This type of hardware is steeped in symbolism, historically serving as an amulet to ward off evil and protect the household.

​Design: Finely detailed casting featuring an ornate lace cuff, a ring on the finger, and holding a spherical ball (apple).

Completeness: This lot is remarkably complete, including the original rectangular backplate (rosette), the circular striking plate, and the authentic mounting bolts.
