1. Eikō Kiln Black-Glazed Wheat Ear Tea Bowl (茶碗)
Kiln / Maker: Kyo-yaki (京焼), 英香 — Impressed kiln mark
Technique: Ceramic, black glaze, gold coloured decoration

Period: Mid Shōwa to early Heisei period, circa 1970–1990s
A fine Japanese tea ceremony tea bowl. The bowl is covered with deep black glaze. The exterior is decorated with ripe wheat ears outlined in gold, accented with green, red and indigo details. Delicate linework presents a refined and elegant aesthetic.
It features a full, rounded shape with an unglazed foot. The side of the base bears the impressed mark of 英香.
Accompanied by a traditional woven silk pouch, designed to protect tea ware from impact and dust, reflecting the aesthetic of traditional Japanese tea culture. The pouch shows minor signs of use.
With natural ageing over the years, the glaze shows faint wear from gentle use. There are no cracks, glaze loss or other damage, and the overall condition is good.
2. Nakamura Sotetsu Black Lacquer Plum Blossom Tea Caddy (茶棗)
Maker: Nakamura Sotetsu (中村宗哲), one of the Senke Jissoku (千家十職)
Technique: Wood body, natural lacquer, gold maki-e decoration (蒔絵)
Accessory: Original wooden storage box (桐箱,without lid)
Dimensions: H 4.8 cm (1.9 in) × Maximum diameter 6.5 cm (2.6 in)

Period: Shōwa to Heisei period, circa 1950–1970s
This traditional tea caddy was crafted by renowned lacquer artisan Nakamura Sotetsu, a master of the Senke Jissoku craft lineage.
Designed in a classic rounded form with polished black lacquer over wood. The lid is finely decorated with hand-painted plum blossom motifs in gold maki-e. The inner lid bears a red lacquer signature. The original wooden box is inscribed with “Nurishi Sotetsu” (塗師 宗哲) and sealed, ensuring complete provenance and authenticity.
Supplied with original wooden box (lid missing).
Due to natural ageing, the lacquer surface shows slight oxidation and light wear. No prominent scratches, cracks or damage, overall condition remains good.
