The recording is a milestone in audiophile history, captured in June 1998 at the Monasterio Gandara in Argentina. It utilized a "One Point" 96 kHz digital recording technique, which perfectly preserves the natural reverb and haunting atmosphere of the monastery. The result is an incredibly lifelike soundstage where traditional instruments like the bandoneon and cello breathe in a vast, three-dimensional acoustic space.
