Item Description
Longines — Ref. 153 / 6776 | Vintage Ladies' Quartz Dress Watch, Gold-Plated Cushion Case, circa 1970s–1980s
An elegantly petite vintage ladies' watch from Longines — one of Switzerland's most celebrated watchmaking houses, founded in Saint-Imier in 1832. This charming timepiece belongs to the classic cushion-case dress watch genre that Longines refined throughout the 1970s and 1980s: small in scale yet generously proportioned on the wrist, radiating an understated feminine glamour that remains entirely contemporary.
The case is finished in warm yellow gold plate over a stainless steel back, its softly rounded cushion silhouette giving it a jewellery-like presence on the wrist. The dial is a warm champagne-gold tone, perfectly harmonised with the case, and is signed "LONGINES" with the iconic winged hourglass logo, along with "Quartz" — confirming Swiss quartz manufacture. Fine applied baton hour markers and slim blade-style matching hands complete the clean, minimalist aesthetic. The caseback bears the reference numbers 153 / 6776 and is marked "STAINLESS STEEL BACK" and "SWISS MADE."
The watch is presented on a black leather strap with a crocodile-grain texture and gold-tone pin buckle, fitting a wrist circumference of approximately 17 cm. The strap shows signs of age-related softening and surface wear consistent with prior use.

Brand Profile
Longines is a Swiss luxury watch manufacturer founded in 1832 in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, by Auguste Agassiz. The Longines name and its celebrated winged hourglass logo were adopted in 1867 when Ernest Francillon inaugurated the brand's first centralised factory. Longines holds the distinction of being the world's oldest registered watch trademark still in use in its original form, as recognised by the World Intellectual Property Organization. A pioneer in precision timekeeping, Longines developed its first chronograph movement in 1878, collaborated with Charles Lindbergh on the Hour Angle aviation watch in 1931, and has served as official timekeeper for world-class sporting events across equestrian, alpine skiing, and tennis disciplines. Since 1983, Longines has been part of the Swatch Group, and continues to produce its timepieces in Saint-Imier to this day.
