Inspired by the kind of bold and decorative buckles Elvis wore with his legendary stage jumpsuits, these pieces perfectly capture the unmistakable flair and visual impact that became such an essential part of his concert image. The first buckle, titled “Red Lion,” is marked A0309 and identified on the reverse as the eighth issue in the series. The design features a bold lion head motif in rich red and gold tones, giving it a very powerful and dramatic appearance. The second buckle, titled “Thunderbird,” is marked A0060 and is the ninth issue in the collection. This example has a particularly eye-catching design with a large Thunderbird motif in white, black, red and turquoise-style detailing, making it a visually impressive piece with a strong southwestern influence.
