St. Vitus Cathedral (Czech: Katedrála svatého Víta) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Prague and the seat of the Archbishop of Prague. The cathedral’s full name is the Cathedral of St. Vitus, St. Wenceslas, and St. Adalbert.
The cathedral is an outstanding example of Gothic architecture and is the largest and most important church in the country. It is located within Prague Castle and houses the tombs of many Bohemian kings and Holy Roman Emperors. The cathedral is owned by the Czech state as part of the castle complex.
The cathedral measures 124 × 60 meters; the main tower is 96.5 meters high, the front towers are 82 meters, and the vault height is 33.2 meters.
