The Nikka Taketsuru 17 Year Old is a blended malt whisky crafted from blends of spirits from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. Both distilleries are part of Nikka Whisky Distilling Co., Ltd. The two blends were aged for 17 years in ex-sherry casks. This whisky has proven its quality internationally on multiple occasions. Among other accolades, it was named World’s Best Blended Malt at the World Whiskies Awards in 2012 and 2018, and Best Japanese Blended Malt at the World Whiskies Awards in 2014.
