An Islamic Bronze Signet Ring, 9th to 13th Century A.D. Heavy bronze signet ring with a large oval bezel engraved with a stylized animal or bird motif (possibly a falcon or mythical creature). The shoulders show incised linear decoration and the hoop is robust and well-formed. The piece has a dark, stable patina characteristic of medieval Islamic metalwork. Signet rings of this type were widely used across the Islamic world for sealing documents and as personal amulets. The engraved motif likely held symbolic or protective significance.
