An Islamic Bronze Signet Ring, 9th to 13th Century A.D. Heavy bronze signet ring with a large oval bezel engraved with a geometric star or cross-like motif. The hoop is robust and slightly flared. The piece displays a dark, attractive patina typical of excavated Islamic metalwork. Rings of this type were used as personal seals for documents and correspondence across the Islamic world during the early medieval period.
