Exceptional ancient Chinese terracotta votive tsa-tsa tablet, dating to the Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644). Artifact is executed with remarkable precision and attention to detail, preserving a well-balanced circular composition with originally preserved earth sediments. It depicts the protective Buddha Tara, a compassionate deity venerated in Buddhism as a guardian figure and a guide on the path toward spiritual liberation. The deity is shown seated in a meditative posture upon a lotus throne, a powerful symbol of purity and enlightenment. Behind the figure, finely modeled floral ornaments enhance the composition and emphasize the sacred and divine nature of the representation.
