Carved in wood with refined facial features, downcast eyes, scarification motifs, open mouth with carved teeth, and elaborate coiffure composed of braided natural fiber. Retains earrings and rich aged patina throughout. The mask displays classic characteristics associated with Chokwe ceremonial art from the Congo–Angola region. The hollowed interior, surface wear, pigment traces, and overall patina suggest age and ceremonial or dance use.
