An 18th-century Chinese Doucai porcelain mug and saucer. A charming Chinese porcelain mug and matching saucer, decorated in Doucai enamels with flowering plants and delicate floral sprays. The mug has a loop handle and a slightly flared cylindrical form, with a blue geometric border and fine iron-red and gilt line decoration to the rim. The saucer is similarly decorated with floral sprays around a central roundel. An attractive 18th-century Chinese export porcelain set, finely decorated in soft Doucai colours. Size: Mug: Height 10 cm × Length 10.5 cm × Width 7.5 cm Saucer: Diameter 11.8 cm Condition: Mug: minor rubbing to the gilding, a light hairline to the bottom of the handle. Otherwise good. Saucer: two fine hairlines to the dish, a flea bite to the rim.
