A magnificent example of early 20th century Scandinavian silverware, this brooch features the iconic Tre Kronor (Three Crowns), the national emblem of Sweden. The central medallion is finished in vibrant cobalt blue guilloché enamel, featuring a radiant sunburst engine-turned pattern. The piece is framed by a deeply chased border of oak leaves and acorns, symbolising strength and longevity. This brooch is fully hallmarked on the reverse with a complete set of Swedish control marks, providing a clear "birth certificate" for the piece: • FH (Maker’s Mark): Attributed to the prestigious workshops of F.H. Hallberg, one of Sweden’s most celebrated silversmiths. • Three Crowns (National Mark): The "Cat’s Paw" stamp, the Swedish national mark for precious metals. • S (Hexagon Mark): The official Swedish silver standard mark, guaranteeing the purity of the metal. • A8 (Date Code): A precise date stamp for the year 1933, placing this in the sophisticated Interwar period. • Material: Solid Silver with vibrant blue enamel. • Design: Triple Crown National Emblem with Oak Leaf Wreath. • Mechanism: Original pin and secure C-clasp in excellent working order.
