A very impressive Islamic Ottoman/Bedouin style silver-metal ring. It presents an ovoid bezel, with a large translucent red inset cabochon, held in place by a series of progs around the edge, creating a crenelated border, reminiscent of a crown. The large shoulders widen to meet the ovoid bezel and are richly decorated with a series of scrolling lines, radiating from a rounded centre at the top. The shoulders taper in to form a plain band at the back. Good solid condition, wearable. Signs of wear consistent with age and use.
