A striking African tribal drum, hand-carved from solid wood and decorated with traditional engraved and burned motifs, including stylized animal figures. The drum features natural skin heads on both ends and is tensioned with cord lacing. Around the body, decorative elements made of real animal teeth are attached, enhancing the strong ethnographic and ritual character of the piece. The outer cord wrapping has been professionally renewed at a later time to stabilize the structure, while the drum itself remains otherwise original. Such drums were traditionally used in ceremonial or ritual contexts and are today appreciated as authentic ethnographic objects and interior statement pieces.
